One of Langkawi's most recognizable monuments is Dataran Lang, often called Eagle Square, which captivates tourists with its magnificent 12-meter statue of a beautiful eagle ready to soar. This emblem of Langkawi, which gets its name from the Malay word "helang" (eagle), greets visitors to this lovely island with pride as it sits over the calm waters of Kuah Bay.
